Julie, Bay County

Storyteller: Richard West

Julie was 52 when COVID-19 first started and worked as a surgery scheduler in the O.R. at Covenant hospital where the effects of the virus were very easy to see, due to the influx of patients in the hospital and the regulated masks that were given out very early in the existence of the virus.

Throughout the existence of the virus she has not been effected by the unemployment and has worked with and around doctors and nurses that have been exposed to the virus but has luckily not caught it throughout all the time she has spent around it.

Julie did not get sick despite working in a high-risk environment with many doctors and nurses that have been exposed to it.

Considering the situation, she has been unable to leave the house due to the quarantine and has stopped attending family gatherings to help stop the spread of COVID-19.
